First I like to gather all the materials I want to consider for my project.
I have included: Two pieces of my own brayer painted fabric, a portrait printed on fabric by DJ Pettitt, background fabric by Marie Kelzer for Westminster Fibers, botanical fabric details from Anna Griffin for Windham Fabrics, a pink strip of Lonni Rossi fabric from Andover Fabrics, buttons and beads.
The next thing I do is to play around with all the potential ingredients, layering and editing items.
When I get to a composition that I am happy with, I fuse and stitch until everything is secure.

Then I sew the rest of the bag, including the logo labels for the project.

And there you have it . . . a finished mixed media one of a kind purse!
